Eucalyptus Globulus
Extracted from the leaves of the tree. Eucalyptus oil is known to be an expectorant. The chemical eucalyptol is a key medicinal ingredient which relieves nasal and bronchial congestion, eases sore throats and coughs, and fights infection. It is used in vaporizers or rubbed on the chest. It is also excellent for inhalation, simply add a few drops to your bath. Dilute with a carrier oil for massage.

HISTORYThe most widely produced Eucalyptus essential oil is extracted from the Blue Gum tree (Eucalyptus globulus). The Eucalyptus tree and oil originated in Australia, but today the tree is also found in temperate and swampy areas around the world (including Spain, Brazil and the Belgian Congo). Eucalyptus globulus is the most commonly used medicinal Eucalyptus species.
